About DCDC
The office of the Dean College Development Council (DCDC) acts as an intermediary
between the university and its Affiliated Colleges. It plans for the integrated
development of the Affiliated Colleges and provides them with the required necessary
help and guidance. The College Development Council (CDC) comprises of about 40 members
and they meet at least once in a year. A standing committee is also constituted
which meets at least three times in a year. Besides, the Principal’s conference
(Chaired by the Vice Chancellor) is organized at least twice a year to discuss various
academic and administrative issues relating to the affiliated colleges.
The office of the DCDC deals with the matters related to Affiliations and Approvals
of the opening of new colleges or new courses. Fresh appointments of the faculty
in the Affiliated Colleges are also made through this office. The applications of
those students who seek late admission in the affiliated colleges are forwarded
to the Vice Chancellor’s office for approval through this office. The procedure
and proformas regarding Affiliations, Approvals, Appointments and Late Admissions
have been put on this web-site so that the Affiliated Colleges may download these
whenever there is a requirement of these.
The office of the DCDC provides some scholarships to the deserving students every
year. The office also provides financial support to the colleges to organize seminars
/ conferences / workshops / symposiums etc. The teachers of the affiliated colleges
who wish to participate in a seminars / conferences / workshops / symposiums etc.
in India or in abroad get travel grant from this office.
